Nico will support Ikram Rahim, our Managing Director Asia Pacific, in developing Ad Terra's activities throughout this strategic market. His extensive experience and deep regional expertise will be instrumental in strengthening our operations across the region.

With over 20 years of international experience in Oil & Gas, Geothermal, and Carbon Captureand Storage, Nico brings valuable expertise as both a Petroleum Geoscientist and Engineer. His project management credentials complement his technical skills. He specialises in acquisition due diligence, reserves and resources reporting, integrated exploration studies, and new ventures, with particular focus on Asia Pacific assets.

Nico began his career with an international energy company in the US and Indonesia. He then advanced to mixed managerial-technical positions across Asia Pacific with leading international consulting firms. His career has been defined by successfully delivering complex technical projects while building strong client relationships throughout the region.

Nico holds an MSc in Petroleum Geoscience Engineering from the IFP School. He is actively involved in the academic arena as a guest lecturer at several universities across Southeast Asia. He has authored over 30 technical publications and serves as an active peer reviewer for industry events. Since 2018, he has supported the technical committee of the IPA Conference, demonstrating his commitment to advancing industry knowledge.
